About two weeks ago I posted a book to a buddy's wishlist. To date I have not received a request for this book. What happens to the book if she does not accept it?

Since you posted it, it goes to the next person who has it wishlisted.  IF you don't want that to happen, you have to cancel before it times out.  Cancelling will take it off your bookshelf.

It's fine with me if it goes to the next person. I was just afraid that it went into some kind of limbo. Thanks for your reply.

If you posted the book 2 weeks ago and there isn't an order yet, something is wrong! A wishlisted book needs to be responded to within 48 hours, so even if your friend didn't want it and it rolled over to the next person in FIFO, it would have been just a couple of days after you posted it. What is the ISBN of the book so we can check it out. Is the book listed on your bookshelf??

The book in question is "So Long at the Fair"  isbn 9780385510295. It's on my bookshelf with a green check mark with a red hash mark through it. It's the same with two other wish listed books that I posted at about the same time.

If there's red hash mark through them, it means they are on hold in your bookshelf and they haven't been posted to your buddies or to anybody else.

If you still want to post the books to your buddy, then remove the books from your bookshelf and then try to post them directly to them again and they'll go through as long as your bookshelf is not on vacation hold.

I just canceled a WL book due to an RC,  and it rolled over to next in fifo... it didn't take it off my shelf, which I wish it had....

If you decline an RC, the system will offer it to the next person in line because it assumes that you can't offer it to that person but you can post it to the next one. If you cannot mail the book if you have to click 'I cannot mail the book.'
