Below are the written instructions - I labeled the pics that go with the instructions.  Related Pics see this site:  Drag and Drop Image

  1. Open the PBS thread you want to add the picture.  Scroll to the bottom of the page so you can see the reply box/text field/body.  IE users you must click in the reply box so the cursor appears.   (Screen 1)

  2. Open a new tab and navigate to a website or to a image storage site such as photobucket.  For testing please navigate to  http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys-general-001.php.  (Screen 2)

  3. Select your smiley.  Click the left mouse button and hold then drag the smiley to the 1st tab that has the open thread.  The thread will open and you should see the reply box.  (Screen 3)

  4. Drag the smiley to the box and release.   (Screen 4)
  5. All Done !Smileys

I hope this helps- if not you can PM me and I will see if I can help.

Imperial Beach I use IE. The only thing I do is copy and paste.  Once in awhile it won't paste the first time but if I try it again it does. Sometimes like just now, I can only paste at the beginning of the post.  I have NO idea why.

Good job jubead!  I'm just trying to be helpful by suggesting you could have included individual links to screen shots.  Like this:

(Screen 4)
  5. All Done ! Smileys

Also if you want a good place to find images go to google.com, click on Images, and then search.  For example "books" came up with this.

Well I am going through a "duh" moment (LOL)  good idea, makes it easier to follow.  Have no idea why I made it so complicated!

The more you do this the easier it gets.  Here's another way to say it:

1) Scroll down to the bottom of this thread to Post a Reply.

2) Open a second tab by Right-Clicking this link to Free Smiley and then select "Open in New Tab".

3) In your new Tab scroll down and find the Cuckoo Clock Smiley.

4) Drag the Cuckoo Clock Smiley to your first tab as in this picture.  This will cause your first tab to open.

5) Drop the Cuckoo Clock Smiley into your forum reply as in this picture.

I thank you for your instructions Marilyn.  I've tried and tried but I can't drag the code or the picture.  I have no idea why.  I can still copy and paste. lol

Jubead, your method worked for me but Marilyn's (Dan for) didn't :(  My tab doesn't *open* when I drag it.  So, I'm glad there are many ways to make this work. Thanks again!Smileys

It doesn't work for all pictures for me.  For example if the picture is protected against being copied.
