I have a few series of books that I want to offer as a series, but I can't post them because then they wouldn't be ordered as a series.  Is it against the rules to offer a book (series, in this case) without posting them 1st?  And if someone does order, I would want it to go thru the pbs process so I could print the postage, label and get the Instant Credit.  I could post them directly to that person, tho, right?   Am I making this too difficult for myself?  Thanks in advance, Carol

If the books aren't wishlisted, you'd have to post them and someone could order them from you.  They'd order one and then click on "Order more from Member" button to order the others.  If you want to send them together, you could post something in the Book Bazaar that you have 1-3 of a certain series, for example.  But people might want a deal - like 2 for 1 or 3 for 2.

That's good, I didn't want to be doing anything "illegal"!  Thanks for the info, I guess it wasn't that difficult after all.  You guys really help!

If any are WLed you cannot offer then in the Book Bazaar, BB Rule #6 says no offering or asking for postable WL books. You may want to go into the genre forums and try it if there are WL books in the series, they do not currently have any rules like that for the genre forums.

I did not know that there were different rules in different forums.  That seem kinda weird ~

If I don't post a book, how do I know if it is a WL?  Do I have to check every book before I do anything with it?

you can put the book on your reminder list or even just pull it up as if you were searching to see if there are people that have it on their WL.  It would probably be best to do it as a search.  If it says members wishing 0 you can post it and not worry about it getting hung up in the WL loop

The Book Bazaar forum has rule in a red sticky thread at the top of it, read through those before using it, there is a lot of helpful information there. I don't think that the intent of the rule was that people go around it by using the genre forums, but that is the way people do it  to save postage. You are probably more likely to find someone who wants the series in the specifit genre forum so there is a benefit to posting there.

Usually the most current books in a series are WLed, I'd check a couple in each series and if none are WL, go ahead. If its not obvious you are posting a WL book that way, no one will care. You can also add them to your TBR and they will show WL or not and then post them from there when you find someone to order them.

Add the books to your TBR pile.  You just put the ISBN in and add it to the list. It'll show a little W if they're WL and then you can click on it to see how many people looking for the book.  Then you can just click post this book and confirm that everything matches.

If more than one book of a series is WL here's what I do: I post the 1st one in the series and then check that person's WL to see if they have the others on WL as well. Then I post those books to them (I usually PM first as a courtesy incase they're out of credits).  Most of the times if they have the 1st book WL, then they have others on WL.  I read mostly romance and if I have more than 1 WL book to post, I go to the WL book thread we have going over there.  I post on the thread which ones I've got and usually someone will want more than one.

Everytime I post a WL book to FIFO-I check that person's WL and see if I have something else I can post to them to help save on postage.

If they aren't WL than I'd run a deal on them in the bazaar like someone else suggested. 2 for 1, 3 for 1, 3 for 2 or something.
