Has anyone here read this book by Linda Evans Shepherd and Eva Marie Everson? I got it based on someone's recommendation (can't remember who anymore but I wishlisted it and it came a while back and was put in my TBR pile but since the 2nd one came available I thought I'd pull it out and read it). So far it's good but I"m afraid I'm gonna get too confused keeping all the characters and their stories straight..I think there are 6 women and they al have different backgrounds and events going on...just wondering if I should persevere with it!

i've read all 3 books in the series and i loved it!! it's like the yada yada club with recipes. i will admit the 6 characters get confusing at first but it'll get easier. there's a new series with the same characters that's coming out this year too.

thanks Deborah! I've read a bit more and am enjoying it..the women seem 'real' which I really like in a book. I'm tired so maybe that's why I'm getting confused!

hee hee..yep I just finished the book and it was great! I''m SO glad the 2nd one is in the mail..hoping it arrived today so I can start it tomorrow! I have to say I'm finding better Christian stories now that aren't so preachy..I mean, some of the women were but I sorta feel for Donna who's not 'quite there' you know? I believe but I get so tired of everyone slamming a single parent, someone divorced..it' snot a perfect world and no one's perfect to be criticizing someone else...and these women I could relate to either by seeing mysel fin them of recognizing someone I know or others I've been around! Anyways, this was a great book and I highly recommend it to anyone!

ETA: if the 2nd potluck club book isn't in the mailbox when Iget home from work I think I'm gonna bring 'my life as a doormat' with me to work tomorrow to read..I started it a while back then got sidetracked and that one was recommended to me on the 'women of faith fiction' thread a while back.
