Priscilla Parker's mother had it all wrong! Priscilla wasn't engaged. She didn't even have a promising prospect. But Priscilla couldn't bear to disappoint her mother, so she asked her best friend, handsome, fun-loving Rick Lowrimore, to help fulfill her mother's romantic fantasy.
Rick was willng to go along with the hoax. He'd do anything for his "buddy"! But he hadn't counted on the emotions Priscilla's sweet kisses aroused. Their pretense at passion was making him long for far, far more.
Priscilla wanted to believe they could be more than just friends, but she couldn't be certain that Rick's enthusiasm was as genuine as hers. Her feelings were no deception, but was Rick just...a pretender to her heart?
I loved this book! It as clean, warm and the characters genuinely cared for each other long before they thought about each other romantically. It was great to watch them grow, and to see how well they did know each other.
Priscilla couldn't bear to dissapoint her mother, sho she asked her best friend Rick Lowrimore to help fulfill her mother's romantic fantasy. A hoax, pretending to be engaged to Priscilla . Emotions came to the surface , and the situation became more real than pretend.
