This book was wonderful while I was expecting my first child. It went into much more detail than what to expect so it was nice to read both and really see and read about what was going on. I reccommend it to any expecting mother.

I really like this series much better than the "What to Expect". This has more pictures and is broken up differently with more details.

I did not wind up using this book during my pregnancy. I do have one complaint about the book. It covers "itching" by saying that a lot of women get it and it's caused by your skin stretching. They then go on to say that it may only occur when you are pregnant and then also when you take oral contraceptives. Well, taking oral contraceptives wouldn't cause your skin to stretch, would it? That means there must be some other reason you are itching - something related to pregnancy hormones. Well, there is. It's called ICP - intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy. It's a real condition and if you itch while pregnant, you should be tested for it. Check www.itchymoms.com. By no means does every itchy pregnant woman have ICP, but don't allow your doctor to dismiss you cavalierly.
