I know no writing is allowed on text pages (except for textbooks and only with an accompanying pm). The first page of the book I have is meant to be filled out. It has the words- presented to, on the occassion of, from and date- on it.  The previous owner (book was part of a carton I purchased) filled it out (in marker which you can see on the back of the page)  and the book was just requested from me.  Since I always double check my books before I accept a request, I just noticed it.  Would it still meet the book condition guidelines?

I'll take "Yes, It's Postable" for $300, Alex.

sounds postable to me! Sweet of you to take the extra time to pm the person who ordered it and let her know.

I can tell you that the requestor isn't one of those jerks who demand only brand new, never read books from PBS swaps. She just wants all the pages still attached and still be legible. ;)

Tome, my favorite show!  I'd have gone for $400.
