Bernhardt is my new favorite author. This book is his writing debut. It is a great book if you like court room drama and suspense. Don't miss reading this book.

The beginning of the Ben Kincaid series. Fascinating for a Tulsa-area reader.

This is the first book of a series featuring Ben Kincaid. Young (29) and idealistic, he became a lawyer "so he could help people." Ben takes a position with a high power firm in Tulsa, OK, and immediately discovers the difference between the business of law and being a lawyer.

The author clearly defines the character of Ben Kincaid and secondary characters. Sprinkled with humor and insights into human nature, this was a quick read that set the foundation for character growth both in and out of the courtroom.
