THE BEST OF THE BEST IN THE MACABRE: PRIME EVIL.
Pretty good collection of original horror stories, the King, Morrell and Straub I remember being especially fine.
I just ordered this book, and then realized I have already read it. But it a good book of short stories from the masters. King,Barker,Straub,Campbell etc.........
okay book, not what I expected.
13 Stories by Stephen Kimg, Clive Barker, Peter Straub, Whitley Strieber, Thomas Tessier, Jack Cady, Dennis Etchison Etc....
Most of these stories deal with the horror created by one's one mind. None of them evoked horror or even a slight spine-tingle in me. Despite the well-known authors, I did not much care for this collection. I found the history of horror stories in the introduction to be almost the best part of this book. The last story would have made a good novel.
