An interesting thriller that I found stranger than science fiction in the way it documents Palestinian/Israeli relations. If not for the setting, I would have found the book unremarkable, but instead, it will stay with me beyond the read.

This is a Gabriel Allon novel.Gabriel is a premier art restorer living in Italy. he is also one of Israel's top "retired" agents. His life is turned upside down when an explosion destroys the Israeli embassy in Rome, his own dossier,(blowing his cover), is discovered in terrorist hands, and he finds he must stop a master terrorist whose M.O. is familiar, but should no longer exist. This is a very good read, as are most of Mr. Silva's novels.

Gabriel Allon is an art restorer and reluctant spy who puts together clues from the past in order to stop a brilliant terrorist. It is well researched and gives some insights to the strong feelings of people in the Middle East.

A tense cat-and-mouse plot that weaves an intricate web of deceit and double cross. A Gabriel Allon series thriller.

While the plot is interesting and you get a good background of the history between Israelis and Palestinians, at times it is not easy to read.

Mr. Silva creates yet another case for Gabriel to solve. But this one could cost him more than anything.

I cannot wait to read the next one.

A book that will keep you in suspense until the last page. Crosses and double-crosses throughout, makes you want to read this in one sitting.

My husband read this book, so I can't really say much about it, although it is a quick read, and he likes Daniel Silva a lot.
