Nice and quick read. Typical of Vitoria Alexander.
Setting at the turn of the century with the first automobiles as a big part of the story.
An interesting turn of events near the end surprised me, and made the conclusion enjoyable. Recommended read.

Victoria Alexander is consistently entertaining. This book included many moments of charm, irony and miscommunication throughout. The story involved an independent American girl and a proud but impoverished British lord who both want to be sure that they are loved for themselves and not the external trappings each "brings to the table."

It was somewhat predictable but very enjoyable.

From the back cover:

A true American princess, Cecily White stood to inherit her father's business empire. And with the twentieth century right around the corner, the independent beauty had no intention of marrying some foreign nobleman seeking her money. Then on a trip to England, Cece fell under the spell of a dashing peer who had more to recommend him than the length of his title and the size of his countinghouse. But Cece wouldn't surrender her heart to the virile Earl of Graystone until he proved that the only treasure he wanted was her love.
