I carefully packaged and weighed some books in a box that came out to 4 lbs 14 oz, so I printed the label for 5 pounds. But after taping it on (and I have never had this happen before), my scale says it weighs 5 lbs 1 oz, ugh! I didn't think I had used that much tape. My question is what do I do now? Will I have to print a whole new label, or can I take it to the post office and pay the difference?

Just add enough stamps or counter postage to make up the difference.

Yes, stamps or counter postage can be added to make up the difference.

Thanks for the answers! I took the package into the post office where they weighed it and told me it wasn't over the weight I paid for... so I guess my scale must be lying to me.
