I think I am running out of ink.  Does that black box have to be solid?  Or is it ok that it has lines in it?  Everything else printed fine but the black box is not solid.

It's probably okay, but you can always fill it in with a marker or pen to make it solid.  I print mine in draft mode to save ink, and you can see lines in it, and I haven't had a problem yet.

Ok thanks. I've printed out 5.  I can get ink tomorrow. But I really don't want to have to retape the labels on them.  I have time to wrap everything up tonight.

If there are lines through the not solid box then you might have problems. The one box on there is encoded and if it cannot be read the PO may send it back . We recently had a bunch of metered mail at work returned because there were lines through the little box. They said because there was damage to the roller causing a missed streak in the middle of the box, their machines couldn't read the encoding. Even though they could still clearly see the postage on there, they returned the mail and it all had to be remetered. Don't print any more until you can change your ink.

The last 3 say "postage not available for that address". I'll take that as my omen to not print anymore.  I guess I could use my colored cartridge. I never need colored ink for anything.  It should produce black.  Usually I use DH's laptop as he has the fancy newfangled printer. But that's on the ship with him. So I'm stuck using my 14yr old ink jet.
