I was about to wrap and mail a book that someone won from me in a swap and noticed some small stains on the first few pages.  I had already printed out my postage label before realizing this.  I ordered her a new book, but now I'm wondering if there is any way to use the label I printed, or to get a refund?

Use the 'contact us, link at the bottom of the page about this. Only PBS would be able to do this, if it's possible. It may not be, but if it is, there is likely a small window of time when they can process it.

What Linda said, it's sometimes possible for a very brief time after printing.

Please never assume you can get a refund. This has so many factors in it happening. There is a small window before the money is automatically transferred to the USPS. PBS would need to have someone open the message who can process it during the limited window.

Some post offices will issue a refund.

Just wanted to give you guys an update.  I sent a message  via the "contact us" link and explained the situation that the replacement book I ordered was mailed directly to the person, and that I was left with a postage label I couldn't use.  Somehow, some way, PBS graciously refunded my postage money!  Yay! for PBS!
