For the last 3 days, when I scan what audiobooks have been posted, I get into a loop that only allows me to see a few books.  At first, I thought it was because I was using my ipad but it is happening with my laptop and desktop.

Anyone know what is going on?

Hmmm -- I'm not sure how you are searching.  I just went to the "advanced search" page from the Search menu.  I unchecked "paperback" and "hardcover", leaving audio CD and audio cassette checked.  Then I scrolled down and toggled the "recent posts only" menu to "yes -- last 24 hours."  I hit "update results" and had 213 results.

If you do the same thing and are getting way fewer results (the results will vary a bit depending on the 24-hour period), you probably have some restriction(s) on your search.  Is  your search type set to "all books" at the top?  Click on "select multiple genres" and  "excluded genres"  -- I have nothing checked there.

To clear any restrictions you might have set up on a previous search, click "clear this search" up at the top and try again.

I did it from the homepage not using the advance search feature.  I was looking at the top section of the page where one sees which books people haverecently  listed.

I understand what you are asking since I do that almost daily, too.  It is a quick way to see if there is anything new to catch my interest.  Yesterday, or the day before, I noticed just what you mention, the same few books kept looping.  I didn't look today.

But I am going to check out Patty's way since that also seems like a good way to check out what is new in audio.

Bonnie, I did search the way Patty suggested.  (Thanks Patty!)  It definitely allows me to learn what has been posted.  But the bigger problem still exists.

When I look under Books Available in Audio Books, I can scroll what has been posted but the system only shows 6 screens before it goes into a loop.  In the past, you could scan many more screens.

The second problem is that not everyone knows about Patty's suggestion.  They may not know how else to search or how to get around the system.  The feature should either be fixed or removed until it is fixed.

My bookshelf traffic is certainly impacted.  Most weeks, I send out at least 5 requests.  Since lthe problem started, I have not gotten any requests.  Yes, it could be that no one is ordering my selections but I suspect others are getting fewer requests than usual.

I plan to call the office when it opens this morning.  If others are having similar issues, it would have more impact if they say so.

I need to go to paperback anoymous.  I need my fix!!!!

I see why this affects you.  For me, it is just a pimple in my searching.  But I do love Patty's way...can't believe that after all these years I never did it that way.  Just going through yesterday's offerings, I found and ordered 3 new audios (unabridged, of course).
