So I moved in order to attend law school.  Given I've moved to the NYC area and not familur at all with the area or big city life I choose to stay in the dorms.  Only problem is the building is brand new.  Literally they were still adding things like lamps and some of the rooms have wiring problems when I moved in.  So no huge suprise that USPS can't validate my address.  Any idea how long the process will take?  Given its univeristy housing will the process be quicker or slower than usual?  Problem is I just got a wishlist book offered to me, now I guess I have to cancel it and re-climb the list because of this.

Can you have it sent to you general delivery at the post office where you get your mail?

It should not take too long to have your address in the system. Maybe the local postmaster or supervisor could give you an idea?

I put my account on hold til i get the address issue resolved.  Another member was kind enough to let me send the book to her, so I could get it when the address gets validated.  Given its a dorm address the post office will probably be quick to validate it.
