2nd book in Madeline's 2nd trilogy. The 6 books are linked by the charactor David de Abyndon who is introduced as a young boy in By Design, is a secondary charactor in Stealing Heaven and the male lead in By Arrangement. This book is Morvan Fitzwaryn's story and Morvan has really met his match with Anna. As always Madeline story is influenced by historical facts including Anna's "mentors". I really enjoyed this book, good story, passion, humor and we get to see David and Christina again. A few years have passed since BY ARRANGEMENT and Morvan can at times be kind of an arse have no fear, he "hero's up" just fine.
Her first published novel.
Excellent medival romance; strong hero & heroine; good story line.
I am not a fan of medival romance, but I truly enjoyed this one.
The first time Morvan Fitzwaryn laid eyes on her, Alana de Leon had come to his rescue with a sword in her hand. It wasn't long before he felt a spark for the Breton beauty, with her strong yet caring ministrations. While tending to the wounded English knight, Alana, who is used to commanding men in battle, begins to fear her defenses won't withstand his smoldering looks and tantalizing kisses. For as the enemy rallies outside her castle walls, it is Morvan who makes her a prisoner of her own firey passion.
This was a great historical romance...very enjoyable.
The first time he laid eyes on her she had come to his rescue with a sword in her hand. Still Morvan Fitzwaryn had never seen any woman who aroused his interest and his passion more than the unconventional Breton warrior beauty. Anna de Leon took him into her castle and nursed him back to health, little knowing the spark of desire she was feeding with her caring ministrations. It wasn't long before Morvan had vowed to protect and conquer this unconquerable woman with all the sensual weapons at his disposal.
For her part, Anna de Leon had no interest in men as lovers or husbands. She was used to commanding men in battle. But she suddenly had the strange feeling that her well-fortified defenses could be breached by this dark-eyed, smolderingly handsome English knight. When her castle is besieged by an old enemy who claims both her and her lands, Anna finds she has no choice but to accept Morvan's aid - even if the enemy outside her walls is no match for the ally within, who with every tantalizing kiss and forbidden embrace threatens to make her a prisoner of her own fiery passion.
