Summary (based mostly upon reviews I've read):
People live in domes that are like states because the world has ended. Faith has special powers and is deeply in love (instantaneously) with Dylan. Dylan helps her figure out her powers and destiny in the world.

My thoughts:
I've based my very short summary on the reviews of others because I did not finish the book. With my limited time, I'm not pushing through books as much as I used to. I gave this book about 100 pages and then gave up. Dystopian is my favorite genre, so generally I will read EVERYTHING that has a dystopian flair. The world building is usually excellent and you really get to know the characters because of the motivations behind making changes. Unfortunately Carman didn't give me any of that. There is not a lot of world building within the amount of the book that I read, which is disappointing because I didn't get to feel like I was in the book with the characters. The characters were just horrific. There is nothing real about them. When a sentence literally begins with "Faith is sad..." you can see how much development is lacking. Why don't you put me into a situation where I can tell that Faith is sad? Let me feel something from her! It was so irritating that I wasn't willing to suffer through the rest.

I've put it on my bookshelf at school, but it's not flying off the shelves because I haven't sold it like I do books I actually enjoy.
