I want to help a good friend market a few short stories he wrote.  Any suggestions where I can do this?  If at all possible, I'd like him to be purchased.

Writers Market.com  or you can borrow their short story writers market guide.  BUT it takes loads of work, and you must really find out what genre he is writing in.

Magazines, or online magazines buy stories, but it is not an easy task and takes months to hear anything back.  Read their guidelines carefully and follow them to the letter. So start looking around online for magazines in his genre.  Other then that unless he has a whole book of short stories to push as anthology, selling short stories is not easy.
