I normally put my media mail packages with stamps (not over 13 oz. ones) in my mailbox and my mailman takes them with no problem. What about first class mail? If it's printed First Class instead of Media Mail, can I still put it in my mailbox with stamps or do I have to take it to the PO? It's approx. 6 1/2 oz. and 1" thick.

Thanks, Pam

Anything OVER 13 oz needs to be either given to someone or have traceable postage.  Anything UNDER 13 oz can just be tossed in a mailbox.  That's with First Class or Media Mail.  Go for it and save yourself a trip to the PO.

Thanks Kerry. I thought this was the case, but wanted to double check before Idid it. My car is in the shop today, so I wouldn't make it to the PO anyway.
