This book is inspired by a true story of an unidentified woman whose murder has become a cold case. It is one of the best of the books in this series because the author is developing her techniques and growing as a writer while still keeping Kinsey Milhone out of the information age by progressing her story only a few days or months within the 1980s. Highly recommend. I read the audiobook version of this book so I didn't get to see the picture of the reconstruction of the face of the Jane Doe whom inspired Sue Grafton to write this book. 5 sound discs (6 hrs.) Got it from my library it was ISBN 0739301225

I'm a big fan of Sue Grafton and have read all of the Kinsey Milhone books. I was on a road trip across the country, and hadn't tried audio books before, so I decided to try this. I enjoyed it immensely! The story was exciting and interesting, and it was read well.
