I sold two albums of first day covers on Ebay.  These are special envelopes printed with postage, issued to commemorate the issue of a particular stamp or a special event.  They are in albums like photo albums.  Do these fall under the regulations to be sent media mail?  I thought they might since they are postal envelopes, but I want to be sure before I go to the post office.  Any postal employees out there who might have the straight scoop on this?

I don't think they do.

3.2 Qualified Items

Only these items may be mailed at the Media Mail prices:

a. Books, including books issued to supplement other books, of at least eight printed pages, consisting wholly of reading matter or scholarly bibliography, or reading matter with incidental blank spaces for notations and containing no advertising matter other than incidental announcements of books. Advertising includes paid advertising and the publishers' own advertising in display, classified, or editorial style.

I'm not a postal person but I did own a stamp store for a while and have been around the business for years. Covers definitely do not qualify as Media Mail - neither do stamp albums nor price catalogs (the advertising in these would disqualify them), though many sellers on ebay & elsewhere try to use MM for these.

Thanks very much for your input, I appreciate it!  I will send out these items to the buyer via parcel post.
