Six seers, two boys and four girls, ages ten to sixteen, have been involved in the apparitions at these different sites.
In December, 1982, a major development occured at Medugorje. Our Lady appeared to a ten year old girl. Then in March, 1983, she appeared to still another ten year old girl, a close friend of the first. She has been appearing to both of them ever since.
One of the most amazing aspects of the Medugorje event has been the tremendous conversion movement among the natives of the entire area. Never before in teh annals of Marian apparitions has there been such a rapid and widespread response to Our Lady's message as at Medugorje. People, including a large number of priests, have been flocking there from all over the world in astonishing numbers.
None of the other major Marian apparitions has had the same sense of urgency as this one. Our heavenly mother tells us that time is running out on a sinful world which is headed for disaster. For that reason, while we await final judgement of the church, it is most important to make known the Medugorje message.« less
