by Gena Showalter.

I've read the first book Awaken Me Darkly.  I have Savor Me Slowly but I don't have the middle one Enslave Me Sweetly yet.  Do these need to be read in order?

Also, these are numbered 1, 2 and 5.  What happened to 3 and 4?

I read them out of order and did alright.  3 & 4 were published as YA I believe.  Here is the order.

Alien Huntress
1. Awaken Me Darkly (2005)
2. Enslave Me Sweetly (2006)
3. Red Handed (2006)
4. Black Listed (2007)
5. Savor Me Slowly (2007)
6. Seduce the Darkness (2009)

I read them out of order too.  I think because each story is about a separate couple.

Ok, thanks.  I may just read this one then and not wait for the 2nd one.  I will probably just skip the YA ones since I don't really care for YA.  Thanks!

i read books Awaken Me Darkly and Savor Me Slowly and skipped over the middle one, and it was fine.  i actually had book 2, but after about the first 30-50 pages i was ready to throw it at a wall so i just reposted that one and moved on.

3 and 4 are YA, and i haven't read them either.  from what i understand they do tie in to the 'main' series, but skipping them didn't seem to be a problem.

The YA aren't needed to follow the series. It's a different cast and about different things

Thanks for posting this and for those answering.  I was lucky and found book 1 and 5 on two seperate thrifting adventures.  I couldn't decide between posting them or holding onto them while I collect the rest of the series to read.  I'll read and then pass on :)
