I know that Courting Trouble comes before Deep in the Heart of Trouble.  But what about her other books?  Are they supposed to be read in any order?

for anyone else who was wondering

  • A Bride Most Begruding
  • The Measure of  a Lady
  • Courting Trouble
  • Deep in the Heart of Trouble
  • A Bride in the Bargain

the only ones in a series are courting trouble and Deep in the heart.

Thanks for responding.  I'd like to read some Christian fiction and I think I'll start with her.  I'm almost at the top of the WL for Deep in the Heart, so I need to get Courting Trouble. If anyone has any deals that would include it, please let me know.

If you haven't read any by Deeanne Gist, I probably wouldn't start with the Trouble series.  I think her other three books were much better than the Courting Trouble/Deep in the Heart of Trouble duo.

I have only read two of her books: A Bride Most Begrudging, and Measure of a Lady. Out of those two, I enjoyed Measure of a Lady the most. I'd like to borrow Courting Trouble from the library some time. I plan to read all of Deanne Gist's books. :-)

I just read A Bride Most Begrudging, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  If Measure of a Lady is even better, then I can't wait to read it.

I actually enjoyed A Bride Most Begrudging over Measure of a Lady! I liked her newest A Bride in the Bargain more than Lady but slightly less than Bride. And I have yet to read her other two novels. :)

I'm not sure how long this has been up, but I just noticed that PBS has Deeanne Gist's next book (apparently due Feb. 2010) in the database and accepting WL requests.
