I love Lorelei James.  More her Rough Riders and Blacktop Cowboys than the new "Bound" series, but that's JMTCW.  Her books are worth waiting for, IMO.

Your question is fine here.  I also like Lorelei James.  Haven't read the new Bound series but I love the Rough Riders and Blacktop Cowboys.  I just finally got my hands on Dirty Deeds, one of her earlier works.

ETA--You need to add her books to your WL if you want to read them.  I doubt they'll ever just be able to be requested without having to wait out the WL.

if you happen to be able to read ebooks (ereader/tablet/phone/computer,) there's the "Light Me Up" boxed set available right now, which contains 7 series starters, including Rough Riders #1.  it's only 99 cents at amazon or kobo (and maybe more), so it's a super cheap way to try out the series.  if you're going to buy from amazon, use the amazon link at the top of the page to let PBS get a little credit for the sale.  :)

Here's what I love about Lorelei James:

Her characters actually have character. There are personalities and building of a real family in the Rough Riders series. She has a couple of books in there that are triads and not my cup of tea. I was able to skip over those and still understand the rest of the series. I liked the Rough Rides series much better than the Blacktop Cowboys. I didn't care for the characters as much and didn't feel that the sex on its own was enough to make me read it. There are enough good erotica writers out there that there had better be a plot, etc to go with it.

Here's what I hate about Lorelei James:

The Bound series. After a while you run out of cowboys to write about, so I was perfectly cool with her beginning a new series with something completely different. but, this wasn't it. I felt no connection to the H/h at all. Books 1 and 2 are serialized on the same two characters which is a trend I refuse to support from any author. Trilogy with three different sets of characters? Fine. Trilogy with one set and it's really 3 short books? No. Then she went with the other senseis and a female Domme. I find no connection for her readers to transition from one series to another in the style and subject matter. It's like two separate authors.

Still an auto buy, but I will read the back blurb first.

If you like all those series, then you might try her Lori Armstorng books. Her Mercy Gunderson series and her Julie Collins series are both mysteries with extremely strong female characters. These are well wrote, but should be read in order, as they contain an overall story arc. There is sexual content, but isn't the focus. Although Martinez (MC Prez), Julie's boyfriend is darn sexy!

PS, I have read a few of the RR series, but since I am never sure when I will encounter a triad situation, I just haven't felt the need to read the rest of the series. Never even wanted to crack a spine on the Blacktop Cowboys and never read a Bound book yet.

What is a triad? I don't have an ereader darn it. Lol thank you all for your feedback! I think I'll stick with the RR.

Triad- 3 people in a monogamous relationship instead of 2. Maya Banks has a lot of triads as well. I've never gotten the appeal.

Sophia, you can always use a program on your computer to read ebooks.  That's what I did before I got an ereader.  I used Adobe Digital Editions which is free.  A lot of ebook sites have free software you can download to read their ebooks on your computer too.
