I just have a question about using Delivery Conf. I requested a book from swapper and she used printable postage with delivery confirmation. I never received book after specified time and so PBS marked it as lost in mail. I sent PM to swapper asking if problem or delay mailing it. She replied that there was no delay on her end but she still got her credit because she used Delivery Confirmation. Book was mailed in Feb 2009 - I finanly did receive book in mail yeterday. I marked old transaction as "Book Received" and credit was deducted from my account. This really isn't problem because I am not sure if credit was given back to me when book pronouced Lost in Mail. Heard something that PBS lets sender keep credit and takes out of PBS account for it. However when I marked book received - it said credit would be given to swapper --- shouldn't credit if anything be given back to PBS. Not sure what to do and already marked book received---but was just wondering if swapper ended up with 2 credits or what really happens Patty |

You did get your credit back when the book was lost in the mail, so the system was correct to take it from you when you marked the book received. This credit did not go to the sender, even though the message on your screen might have led you to believe that. The system knows where the credit should go and it will put it back in PBS' account in this case. You can ask the sender via PM if you want. She can check her credit registry and confirm that she didn't get a credit for this book today. |

You can tell when and where credits come from by going to your Credit Registry tab (on your Account page) and looking there. All your credits should be there along with when and how you got them by date. Ruth Last Edited on: 5/1/09 3:28 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |
