I don't read romances ( well I have read the Undead series but they are more like paranormal) but read the description on one of her Cedar Cove books and they seem like they would be fairly good without alot of romance. How much romance are we talking on hers and am I making any sense?

I've only read a few but don't recall ANY of Macomber's books being explicit in the sex dept. characters appear book to book and some storylines continue from what I remember. you're not gonna find any wild sex though. I think the first book is about a judge and she's divorced..the ex and the new guy(who has problems of his own) are a lingering triangle..her daughter gets a story..a friend gets a story..almost like reading women's fiction but there IS romance just not a lot of sex.

if you like romance without a lot of description Curtiss Ann Matlock is also good.

Thank you Susanna. I never read romances..lol..I read just about anything but those. I used to read those old gothic ones when I was a teen, but they didn't have sex. I thought if these were more like just womens fiction I would give them a try.

some of Susan Wiggs' contemporaries are also morel ike women'ts fiction with a romance in each one that so far hasn't been explicit. the lakeshore chronicles-think summer at willow lake is the first.

robyn carr is pretty good also. her grace valley is low-sex/not too descriptive and is sorta like the Mitford series by Jan Karon- there are three in this one then she has the virgin river series starting with Virgin River, Shelter  Mountain, Whispering Rock - romance a bit more sex/sexual talk but  a great community in the mountains is being built and good stories IMO.

I haven't read all of Macomber's series..trying to remember who on here has..I know we had a thread about them a while back.I do know the few I read were not full of sex though.

Im reading ( just about done..) with # 8 in the Cedar Cove Series by Debbie Macomber.

I love all of her books~ and everyone that has mentioned, she writes romance, but very little about sex, I totally agree!

# 9 in the Cedar Cove Series just came out a few weeks ago..~ I got a wish list offer for it this evening..Im so excited!

I have a collection of almost 60 of Debbie Macombers books..I've heard she has written around 100 books~

plus...the Publishers have re-released some of her earlier books ( and have also combined several books into 1 book sometimes..)

I started getting them last week and have all the Cedar cove coming except Rosewood and Pelican. I am also working on geting the Blossom St. series. I think I'll like these since they aren't the normal romance stuff which I'd don't read..lol.
