If someone here mails me books using the "mail to a friend" option, shouldn't they show up as "en route" to me?  I use that function a lot to mail books and it always shows that I mailed them out and says "did your friend receive the book?" so I expected to see the ones coming to me listed on my account.

Can't you use that function to mail to anybody? Doesn't that mean that if someone mails to you (the individual), it isn't necessarily tied to your account? I'm not certain, but I think that's the case.

If you have another PBS member mail to a friend of yours using that "alternate address" function (I've used it to have books sent to my 3 daughters and mom), it still shows on YOUR acct as "en route" and asks "Has your friend received the book?"

It doesn't show. I game a lot and always use the mail to a friend, and know a lot of my gaming pals use it too. the books they mail to me never show as "en route to" me

They only show up on the sender's page.  Not the receiver's.  The sender needs to mark them as received once they hear from the receiver.

Both sides of the transaction show up on the sender's tabs. The sender is just typing in a name and address, the system doesn't go match that up to existing membership.

So do you get a credit when you send to  a friend?

No.  No credit on the Send To A Friend option.  Credits are involved using the alternative address option.
