I read through the FAQs before posting a book, & I sent it out, now now they marked it RWAP.  The book was overall in very good condition with the exception of a crease in the cover.  Was I wrong to think it was postable?

A crease in teh cover is acceptable. As long as the crease wasn't like right at the spine and causing the cover to come away from the binding inside the book.  You know like it had been bent full back and was starting to come away from the pages.

You should ask the receiver why s/he marked it RWAP, and go from there. If it was the crease in the cover, that was postable.

As long as it wasn't a hardback it sounds OK.  I'd consider a hardback with the cover creased excessively worn.

I agree, ask them what the problem was, and if they say it was the crease in the cover, let them know that this is not a valid reason for marking the book received with a problem. Ask them to go to the guidelines in the Help Center and see for themself. Then ask them to please use the button on the transaction archive to change the RWAP to "marked by mistake" If they do not, try contacting PBS using the feedback button on the Contact Us page, and see if they will send the receiver a note that this is not against the rules. I don't know that they will, but it's worth asking, the worst they can do is tell you they don't get involved in individual swaps (which they say they don't, but every now and then, in a case like this, where the other member needs educated, they just might send a PM if they have time.) Like I said, no bets that they will but you can try.

If the member says there's another reason, then you'll have to deal with that separately. Also, if it is the crease, be sure to tell them that if they want to make sure they don't get books with creases in the covers, they need to use Requestor Conditions and state so.
