I was in the process of printing a label and the page just kept looping and the label never popped up for me to print.  I waited for a while but it was just stuck.

I went back to my account page and tried to print the wrapper again.  There was a message stating "You have previously purchased Postage and Quick Credit

for this request. You will NOT be charged again for this request."  Based on this, I went ahead and tried to print the label again and this time it worked.  When I

went back  to my account overview I noticed that I was charged twice for the postage and Delivery Confirmation/postage printing fees:

Reason: Postage
Transaction Details :: Once Upon a Time, There Was You: A Novel :: Elizabeth Berg  -$2.60

In the transaction details it shows 2 different delivery confirmation numbers.  One of which I will use and the other, of course, will not be used.

My questions/concerns are:
1.  Can I get a refund from PBS for the charges associated with the DC I WILL NOT use?  From what I have found in the help section, I am guess that I
cannot get a refund from PBS but instead I would have to take it up with USPS.  Is that correct?
2.  How will the second Delivery Confirmation reflect on my account?  That DC will never be marked as received even though the book will be marked
received.  How does that affect my PBS account?  Should I contact PBS to let them know what happened?

Any insite you might have would be appreciated.  Thanks!

I'd contact PBS. It's true that they normally don't refund postage but this may have been a glitch rather than user error.

Edited to add: If PBS postage works like paypal's, there's a short period of time to cancel a label. Unfortunately, it seems as though PBS has a limited customer service crew available during the weekends.

Tammy - In this case, there seem to have been a glitch in the system so I'd definitely contact the Team about this. They should refund your money.

Mistakes happen.  One time I was charged six times on two credit cards for the same transaction.  I didn't realize this until I received my CC statements.  I reported it and within two days they refunded the five extra transactons.

I agree. I think PBS would reimburse you for this. They won't reimburse if you print postage and then don't send the package for some reason, but a double charge for the same item is definitely a glitch. I've had to reprint several mailing labels and never got double charged.

Once it happened to me that I was charged for printable postage but the postage was never actually generated (I got an error message from the printable postage web page). I contacted PBS and they refunded the amount charged right away with no problems.
