I would like to know if it is allowed to post hardcover book without the outside jacket? I have a few books like this. They are in great shape but no jacket. Are these legal??

Paula,

Good question.  You do not have to have the dust jacket.  This is from the help center:

  • Hardbacks do not need to have their dust jackets to be swapped here, and are worth one credit - the same as paperbacks.

Thanks so much for the help. I'm still relatively new and was wondering about that. That was a fast response!!!

Paula;  Although hardcover books are allowed to be posted without a jacket, if your book is requested, be aware of some members conditions that may require one. (as mine does). If there are no conditions, it is perfectly ok to mail.
