I have a question for any of you. When you have a book on your wish list and someone posts it, they still have to accept the request conditions, right? I had someone post a book to my wish list and I have a condition that I don't want books that are currently in a smoking home or that smell of smoke(It gives me a headache). When I got the book in yesterday it smelled of smoke. And I PM'd the lady who sent it to me letting her know it smelled and I asked her if it was in a smoking home. She writes back and says that "her mother smokes but the book was upstairs, it must be the packaging that smells. And she didn't know she had to tell me that the book didn't smell like smoke." Now what do I do? She had to accept that it was not from a smoking home, right?

If your RC was on when the request went through then she had to accept it when she accepted your request.  It obviously violates your RC if it's a smoking home, she admitted as much  So with a RWAP you can ask that she can return the credit if you want her to.  And if she wants the book back you can ask for two credits.  It's up to you if you want your credit back, I know I would.  Depending on her response (refund of credit(s) or excuses/complete denial) you can mark the transaction resolved or not.  Either way, with a RWAP you go back on the WL in first place for the next book up unless you decide you can live with that copy. In that case, you could take it off your WL.  You still are allowed to ask for your credit back even if you keep the book.  If she chooses not to comply, since she violated the RC mark the transaction as unresolved.

You can both confirm that your RC was turned on by looking in the Transaction Archive, it will show there if it was active. (If you haven't marked it received yet there will be a button on the transaction.) If she accepted the RC with her mother smoking in her home whether she smelled the smoke is not relevent because the RC was already violated, she should not be accepting any non-smoking RCs. If the RC is not there and you don't turn them off for any reason, send in Feedback and have the Team look for a glitch.

Somehow it was turned off. I don't remember ever turning it off but I must have at some point. It wasn't really her fault so I just marked it as received. Oh well, lesson learned. I will make sure it is on from now on.
