Okay, Jo got a Kindle today as an early christmas pressie, (we are going to Cali for two weeks next week, and she will be reading it while all on the plane, and all our layovers).

Here is my problem, I have kindle for the PC on my computer, plus have an Iphone with kindle on it, and then of course hers.  I have quite a few books (near 100) on the kindle for PC, and cannot for some reason get them to either the Iphone or hers.  I have tried every way possible, and its being stupid.  And I had some PDF's on the Iphone earlier on another ebook program on there, and somehow they all disappeared (but fortuantely I still have them on my computer!)

I am using Calibre too, but Im not sure of all I need to do, oy I am so confused!!

Any help would be great!

I've not tried to get books from Kindle4PC to my KindleTouch, but download straight from Amazon, so don't know if I'll be much help. I do sideload from Calibre, but only DRM'less stuff in Mobi format.

Have you registered Jo's Kindle on your account so you can download from Amazon to it? If so, then you should be able to go into "Archive" (IIRC) and select various books to download. You can turn off the wifi (or 3G I think) to keep her from downloading something you don't want her to.

Yeah, I have all three devices on the same account, but for some reason, they don't want to link up, so frustrating!

Make sure the kindle is registered on your account.  You should then be able to go to Manage My Kindle on Amazon and reload the books to it.

You should be able to email the PDFs to your kindle account.   But I'm not sure how that happens.  (I know one way has a fee and another way is free.)

You should be able to side load the ebooks in calibre.  When you connect with USB...does Calibre reconise the device?   It wont reconise my sons Literiti....I had to buy one of those port things as my laptop dosent have any...then I can load ePubs into the SDCard.   Then the Literti reads them.    I dont know anything about iPads/iPhones...but you might try that.    Kindle to Kindle for PC Make sure the SYNC in manage my kindle on the account is turned ON!   Once they show up in the ARCHIVED ITEMS....  Down load what You want her to have.  This has to be done 1 ebook at a time..then go back & Turn it OFF.   Other wise what you read & she reads will continue to sync LOL     BTW make sure the Kindles WiFi is on.

Sheyen - I'm assuming you've bought all these books from Amazon?

Anyhow, the first thing is to make sure that all the devices are indeed registered under the same account. Go to Your Account > Manage Your Kindle and click Manage your Devices. There it should show that you have the Kindle, the Kindle for PC app and the Kindle iPhone app.

Once you verify that all devices are where they should be, you can transfer the books you want to the Kindle via Manage Your Kindle. There it will show all the books you've purchased. To transfer a book to the Kindle, just click Actions and then click on Deliver to my...and select the Kindle.

Now the problem with this alternative is that I think you would have to transfer them one at a time. To transfer multiple books at a time, check out these instructions:
