The last wish list book I sent out had three people time out on the 48 hour request window (a time I think is too long).  My question is, where do they end up in the queue for the wish list book once they let a book request time out.  Do they go to the end of the line or do they stay at the top of the list?  I hate to think that the next person who posts the book will have to wait 48 hours only to have their request time out, like I did.

if the request times out all together (or the wisher says no, they do not want the book), they are no longer in line for the book.

This is in the help docs, by the way.  http://www.paperbackswap.com/help/help_item.php?id=23

Ok, another question.  I didn't find it answered in the help documents.

Say I have a wish list book where the sender refuses my request because of my RC.  Do I go back to the top of the list?

If a sender declines by clicking

  • That book does not lose its place in the "FIFO" line
  • It simply goes back into its previous place
  • The requestor's request is passed to the next person offering the book.
  • If this is a Wish List book
    • and there are other people Wishing for the book, the requestor goes back onto the Wish List at the same place "in line" and the book is offered to the next Wishing member.
    • and there is no one else Wishing for the book, the book is removed from the requestor's Wish List.
      • the book goes onto the requestor's Reminder List
      • the requestor will not be able to Wish List the book again until this copy has been sent out to another requestor (and there are no active copies in the system).

If someone declines your wishlist book because of your RC, you'll keep your place in the Wishlist line.  I'm pretty sure the only time you'll lose your place is if you are the one who cancels the transaction.

Correct me if mistaken, but the only way to loose your place FIFO is:
1. Let an offer time out
2. Wish fulfilled and book received (without RWAP)
3. You/requester cancels a transaction
4. Your account is closed

Do I go back to the top of the list?  You go back to the place you were in line, which isn't always the top. Because of RCs and Holds you can often get a offer in a place other than 1st.
