There are FedEx envelopes that you can pick up from the FedEx boxes for free that are made out of tyvek. I cut one up and wrapped a book in it and it works perfectly! Of course, I wrapped it inside out and it doesn't say FedEx anywhere on the paper I used. Do you think this is OK?

Is is ok with the PO as long as it's not their envelope you are using.   Doesn't even matter to them if it says FedEx on it.

Really? That amazes me. Seems like the PO would throw a fit about FedEx being on the envelope, but what do I know? lol

They don't care if you waste FedEx's money!  But they do not want you taking their free envelopes and boxes and using it for anything except what it was intended for.

I do this all the time; my company has huge stacks of them that no one ever uses.  Most of the time I don't even cut them up, I just wrap the book tightly and secure the loose parts of the envelope with tape.  I once had a USPS worker make a snide remark about how I should try to cover up the logo with my address label, but I've never had them refused or returned.

Yea...thanks!  I have always tried to cover it up.  But I have also used the PO free box's and wraped them in brown paper as well :()

You should not be using the PO Priority free boxes even if covered.  If the PO catches you doing that they will change the reciever the Priority Price.

Yea, after reading this thread I stoped using them.  Mostly I recylce anyway.  But I use what I can use.  Where do I get the free bags and box's from UPS and Fedex?  Can I order them from the web like you do from USPS?

Troy, you can get them out of the FedEx drop boxes.
