Hi fellow swappers!

I hope this is the right place to ask, I'm doing some Christmas shopping for a young sisiter-in-law and she asked for some Anne Rice books.  She was big into the Twilight series and I guess is looking to move up.  I don't know anything about the genre, and Anne Rice novels seem pretty graphic.  Does anyone have any Anne Rice books that they'd recommend for a 14 year old?

Thanks :)

I read them while in high school.  They are NOT the first books I'd recommend.  (Would recommend Jim Butcher's Harry or Charlaine Harris' Sookie before as they are more contemporary.  Or even better, Sunshine by Robin McKinley.)  But I'm not scarred from Anne Rice.

Don't touch the Beauty series.  Not for that age.   No way.

I read Interview with a Vampire in High School and loved it. But I hated the 2nd book and never bother to read any more.

Probably not what you are looking for, but the 2 books Ann Rice has published in the "Christ the Lord" series, as I recall, would be fine for a teen.

Probably too late to chime in, but if you're looking for another Young Adult Vamp series, I'd recommend P.C. Cast & Kristen Cast's House of Night Series.
