I know someone has asked this question before but I can't find the reply. I posted a WL book w/24 members waiting. The book was bought new by me, just read by me, and was in super shape - how I did it I don't know but there's a 1/4" rip on a page. Unpostable? If I remember some of the posts, if it's WL book I can't delete it like I could on my Bookshelf. I went to my local B&N and Borders after work today to see if they had a copy but no luck. If I keep declining the requests - 24 of them - it'll look really bad on my record. Any way to stop this runaway train???? |

If it's wishlist, you just wait for someone to accept. Send them a polite pm, explaining the mistake and then cancel, so they go back to the 1st wishlist spot. The book will be taken off your shelf after you cancel. This happened to me with a book my cat knocked a glass of water on after I posted. It was a bummer to lose the credit, but it worked out fine. |

Thanks, Karen! Whew.....I feel better now. The book has actually rolled over to maybe the 3rd person on the list because I posted it a number of days ago and it's still hanging around. I feel better that the person will remain 1st on the WL, that was something on my mind, too. I'm always so careful with my books, some paperbacks I read and kept 10 years ago are still in pristine condition; I can't even blame my nails because I bite them. Just one of those things. I can relate to the cat thing - I have one romance book with tiny teeth marks all across the top of the front cover. Thanks again, Karen. |

You could also put your account on hold if it looks like it's going to time out again. I had my account on hold for awhile and would take it off to post WL books. More than once I had to unhold it because a WL book timed out and I wanted it to go to the next person in line. |
