I just posted Catherine Anderson's newest "Star Bright". Well I know for a fact it is a list wish book because I just took it off my wish list yesterday when I bought it.. But it after I put in the ISBN # It brought me to a section where I had to put the title and other info in the book then it added it to my bookshelf is a book not on a wish list. Is there any way I can change that so that people wanting it will know its there???

You appear to have a different ISBN that the Wish Listed one; 9780451228178 is what you have and 9780451225719 what is Wish Listed. Make sure that yours version is not an ARC and then I would recommend tagging the WLed one with something like "Available under ISBNXXXX" and post in the bazaar and someone will come get it quickly. Unfortunately there is not legit way to offer it to the first person in line.

eta: Also look over the book and make sure you have posted using the correct ISBN. I cannot find the ISBN you have used being sold anywhere. I have heard of some books that will have a different one on the back as it does in the front cover or on the info page. If you can find the WL ISBN on your book, remove it and repost it by that.

Advanced Reader Copy. It would say it somewhere, but you don't get those at Walmart.

I'd say check the book out more thoroughly, I'd almost bet there is a different (correct) ISBN on it somewhere else.

See if the ISBN on the copyright page is different from the one on the back cover. Sometimes there are typos. If the one inside matches the one on the back cover, then listing in the book bazaar like Melanie suggested is usually a sure fire way to get an order for it.

Thanks for the help. I found the ISBN in 3 different places on the book. The # is the same in all three places. SO I listed it in the Bazaar and put I tag on it. Heres to hoping someone gets it..LOL.

I've had success with putting a tag on the WL version w/the ISBN of the one I posted.

I believe you have the "Walmart edition" of this book. If you search the PBS database, you'll find several books with this phrase in their titles. I know some large publishers do special print runs for Walmart, and those books will have a different ISBN. I don't know if there's any different in the content of the book though.

I don't know about books, but I know some of the CDs available at Wal-Mart are different from the versions available from other retailers because Wal-Mart requires objectionable lyrics and graphics be edited.  (See http://www.pbs.org/itvs/storewars/stores3_2.html )

Maybe they do the same with books?

I don't think they do it with books. I've picked up books from Walmart with some pretty graphic sex in them.  With audio books I've noticed that that Walmart and Target mostly have abridged versions to make them cheaper probably.  Usually when they abridge a book for audio  they take out the sex and violence.  Maybe they do it with CDs because kids are more likely to grab those then say a romance book.
