I was in a christian thrift store today. 2 men that worked there told the girl at the check out that it was "Devilish" and "Pagan" to do Easter eggs. I'd never heard anything quite like that. Are there some churches teaching that it's a sin? I know dying Easter eggs is obviously not in the bible.

I'm not Christian, but I'll take a crack at it:

Easter was originally a pagan holiday to celebrate the equinox and the beginning of spring.  The egg was symbol of rebirth, and decorated eggs were traded as part of that tradition.

That was interesting. Thanks. It just seemed weird with all the childhood easter egg hunts at school and church functions to hear it!
