Hello. I got offered a WL book I really have been wanting. The sender checked that they Can Not Mail. I have a requestor condition regarding smoking. However, the sender says they don't smoke but that the book cover has a crease in it. Apparently the sender was burned before by someone who got a book from them this way and said they couldn't repost it. They wanted to see if i was ok with the crease first before they send and if so, they would mail out. My question is, I do really want the book but I didn't think there was anyway to respond to the sender now. If they would have sent me a pm it would have been one thing but since they marked it as can not mail and it was removed from my transactions, is there anyway to let them know that I would accept the book? |

Unless they put their member name in the message, I don't believe there's anyway to find out who it was. It would be nice if that information was provided when an order is declined; seems like if the person declining knew their name would be attached to the message that we might see an increase of people in your situation being able to go ahead and order the book again and maybe a decrease in the number of snotty messages sent about people's RCs. I know the latter was not your issues, just saying... Hope you're able to find another copy. |

Thanks! I didn't think there was a way. Well, back in line for me but at least I am first! |

If they used "cannot mail" rather than "does not meet conditions", they will presumably eventually repost it after not hearing back from you, and you are still first in line... Last Edited on: 4/20/11 9:51 AM ET - Total times edited: 2 |

If they just declined your RCS then the book has already been offered to the next person in line. That may have just been an excuse to not accept any RCS at all and to get to the next wisher. |

Nicole, it won't help for this transaction, but you might consider adding your username to your RCs for the future so folks will know how to contact you if it ever comes up again. ;-) |
