*I posted this in the Bazaar, but so far nobody has responded. I figured someone here would surely know the answer.

Do these two series need to be read in order? I scored a few of the First North Americans books at Goodwill (Wolf, Sea, River), but they're not in order :( and I was wondering if they're stand-alone books in the series, or if I should try to get the others and read them in order. BTW, I had no idea there were so many of them when I bought these three, lol.

Also, of the Earth's Children series, I have Clan of the Cave Bear and bought Plains of Passage at Goodwill, thinking it was the next in line. I see now there are more between these two and was wondering if this series also should be read in order.

Thanks so much!

Read the Earth Children's books in order: Clan of the Cave Bear, The Valley of Horses, Mammoth Hunters, Plains of Passage, Shelters of Stone.

I have only read a few of the First North American series but IIRC they can be read out of order.

I agree on the Earth's Children series - read them in order.

I don't know the other one, I'm sorry.

Ok, thank you both! I'll plan to read the Earth's Children ones in order.

Can anyone verify the First North Americans series?

Thanks again!!

Kelly, you can google  Fantastic Fiction and input the authors name and they list series in order I find that site very helpful for that reason.
