I just recieved the "The Thistle and The Rose" in the mail.  I was going to read it next but I realized it is book 8 in a series I have not read.  Do I need to read the others first or can I just dive right in?

How familiar are you with the history? It has been years since I read them, but since I'm very familiar with the history, and she usually does a good job of setting the scene, I'd just jump right in.

But, if you don't know a lot about Tudor History, you may want to start at the beginning.

I think I am pretty familiar with the history since I have read all of the Phillipa Gregory book,  Margret Georges Autobiograph of Henry VIII and a few others.  So I will go ahead and read it.  Thank you.

I think you'll be fine, then. Enjoy.
