Ok so I got a wish list book granted & ended up recieving the wrong book.  Which actually the one I got looks better than the one I was supposed to get lol!  So I pm'd the sender & she sent me a credit & said if I'd mail her the book back, she would send me the correct one.  (and no I cant just say Ill keep what I got bc it is WL'd too!)  :)  Is this what is supposed to happen?  I dont really have a problem returning it to her but I was under the impression that if a sender wanted a book returned, that person should send you 2 credits or am I mistaken?  I dont want to come across as mean or snarky to her as she did return my credit right away.  And I will send it back to her, I just am curious as to what is really supposed to happen here.

The credit that she already sent you was to cover your expense for returning her book. You stated that she is mailing you the right book which means you won't be out of your original credit.

She only owes you one credit for the return postage, unless of course she doesn't re-send the correct book. Then you will also be entitled to have your original credit refunded as well.

Wow, I am really sorry if I sounded snippy. Believe me, that wasn't my intention. I was just answering your question. I'm sorry if you got the wrong impression.

I really, really wasn't trying to be rude. I'm not that type of person. Sorry again.

I thought Anne was concise and to the point. Maybe that came across as snippy to Sara?

I didn't hear 'snippy'.  I did hear a very clear answer to a question.  Pat

I didn't get snippy out of that either.

Don't mark the book you were supposed to get as received until you have it your hands.  Then if she doesn't send it, you'll get the credit you spent for it back when it goes lost.  It'll also go back on your WL with you at number 1.  If you mark it received RWP and it never shows up-you'll have to go back to the end of the line or contact PBS to reinstate you-plus you might be out your credit if the sender doesn't respond.

I usually ask for a credit and the address of the person it was supposed to go to so I can send it to them.

Sorry everyone & esp. Anne for calling you snippy.  I guess I was just having a bad morning.  Plz forgive me, I can see now that you were simply answering my question.  :)

No problem Sara....I wasn't offended. I've had many of those bad mornings too. My family has learned to run for cover! : )
