I have read this somewhere but can not find it now.

My Reminder List

Do I just create the list from My Book List on My Profile and make the link from there?   I remember reading somewhere you have to tag each book or else it comes up to the other member's reminder list. But, that never worked for me.

And, on the Wishlist Multiples thread...To put a link there, do I do the same thing?  If I want to update, how do I put the link to the original post?

To find your Reminder List, go to...

"My Account" "My Lists" "Reminder List"  - The Reminder list is NOT made with tags. To add a book to your reminder list just hit the "+ Reminder" link available with every book listing.

To find your Tags List, go to...

"My Account" "My Lists "Book Lists" - To add a book to your tag list, use the "+Tag" link available with every book listing. You need to use a specific word for each tag group. You pick the word.

To create a link you need to "copy" & "paste" the http://www.paperbackswap.com/........ that is at the top of your page when you are on your list.

Lisa, I'm not sure what you are asking.  Are you wanting to create a link to your Reminder List?   You cannot create a link that will go directly to your Reminder List.   Youir RL is not created for the public.  If someone could click on such a link, they would have access to your account.

You will need to create a tag for each of the books on your Reminder List, tagging something like Lisa D's RL List.  Then you can create a link to that particular tag.

Make sense?

There is a part of the URL on the lists that directs someone to their own list rather than yours.  To make a link to your list, you have to remone that language.

Let's see if I can find the details.

I think that is the part that has to be deleted.  Otherwise, we each get directed to our own list, rather than yours.  I think this applies to Tag lists, rather than the RL.  This is why I use the List feature rather than Tags when I'm making lists. 

Dave K.    Yes, I know how to add books to my RL.  I was wanting to add a link to my RL in my posts and signature line.

I had such difficulty with lists.  Everytime I tested it, it looked good.  But they did not work.  I think you need to log off, then test it.  I just gave up, and made book lists, which have their own URL.   Or make a Tag list, using the Tag button. 

Could someone test this for me, please?
