  Never in a hundred years
Could I have imagined you
My dream come true
So beautiful heart and soul

Never in a hundred years
Could I have imagined you
Saying those words I was so desperate to hear

I love you…

Never in a hundred years
Could I have imagined
I could feel this way
Just the sight of you
Could take my breath away

Over and over I wanted to scream…

Never in a hundred years
Could I imagined
I could hurt this much

You ran away from me
Ripping my heart from my chest
My soul was left tattered and torn

Never in a hundred years
Could I have imagined
This pain inside me

No where to turn
No where to flee
It burns inside of me
A dull throbbing ache

Tears won’t come
Drops won’t fall

Everywhere I look
You’re all I see

Your amazing eyes
Your bright smile
The chiseled jaw
I yearned to touch

Now there is another gazing upon you
Receiving your smiles
Basking in your warm embrace

Never in a hundred years
Could I have imagined
These questions that haunt me

Why did you leave me?
Did I not love you enough?
Did my arms not hold you tight enough?

Why didn’t you let me love you?

Never in a hundred years
Could I have imagined you…

My dream come true…

The pain will not go away

I still love you…

Feels aren't forever. The good won't last but neither will the bad.

"And I'm here to remind you of the mess you made when you went away". Get mad!

It's hard not to respond to the emotion of what you have written. You express yourself clearly and accurately- pain does draw attention to itself. And now, just remember: It's your life, your choices- and there are many fish in the sea!

This seemed to be written from the heart, the real thing. True love does not just pass. It affects your soul. I think God meant it to. We are meant to love and trust wholly. It is a marvel when the love and trust lasts a lifetime, stunning when it does not.

It was written from the heart. Thank you, Kathleen.
