On Monday, I mailed 3 packages - 1 Priority mail and 2 Media mail.

The Priority mail package arrived on Wed., one of the Media pacckages arrived on Thurs - that was quick.  Wonder how long before the other MM package gets delivered.

Priority Mail is almost always great unless you're going outside the continental US. I almost always get PM delivered in 2 business days (including Saturdays). I did have some longer ones around Christmas!

I shipped something PM to the US VI before and that was several weeks... I think it was at least double whatever the USPS website quoted me, but the person I shipped to said they still got it faster than normal.

Media Mail is just crazy. It can be 2 days or 2 months, there's never any way to predict!

As I understand it, that is because it is only given "priority" treatment until it leaves the continental USA - than all mail becomes "equal".

When I send priority mail to Europe it takes 7-10 days (depending on weekends) but an ordinary letter takes the same amount of time.  But anything over 13oz has to be sent Priority which is so much more expensive for not much better service!

The Priority package above went from FL-> HI

I was referring to stuff sent within US states and territories, not international or military mail.
