I was granted a wish for a text book and a study guide.  I sender did not email me in advance about any writing but being that they are text books, I would have accepted them even so with  some writing.  The study guide is completely filled in and therefore useless to me- the point of it is to see if I have learned the information by answering the questions and filling in the guide.  Okay, attached to the front of the study guide was a sticky note that said essentially, "the study guide IS filled in but still a great resource; If you decide you can't use it, just mark everything received, shoot me an email, and I will refund a credit."  Now my question is, if I do this I lose my place in FIFO and will go back to the end of the line if I re-wish it, correct?  It's not so much about the credit for me as it is getting the book I need.  Do I risk pi**sing off the sender and mark it RWAP or just do as she asked?   I'm sure this should be obvious, but just wanted a little feedback before I take any action.  Thanks all :-)

In your position, I would mark the textbook recived in good condition, and mark the study guide RWAP - damaged by sender, request your credit returned. This will put you back in the front of the line for the WL study guide. In the "comments for the sender" section, when you mark it RWAP, comment that the study guide is not of use to you as it is already completely filled in, and that you appreciate she has already offered to return the credit for it. Explain it was necessary to mark it RWAP to be able to resume your spot in the front of the FIFO queue.

I don't see why this would P.O. the sender - if it does she should consider follow the writing/textbook requirements and email before sending.

Thanks mistie.  I appreciate your feedback.  I did just as you suggested.  It was what I thought I should do, but I guess I needed confirmation.  I'll let you know if I have any further problems.  :-)
