Back of Book Says: In the 1870s Louisa May Alcott made friends with five earnest fans of her bes=selling Little Women The younk Lukens girls wrote to Miss Alcott telling her that they were inspried by her books. Soon the Lukens girls recived a very special gift - a Christmas story from Miss Alcott about a lonely orphan girl who finds a family to love her. Also included are a story about Tilly, a poor girl, who has a wonderful Christmas with a robin who needs her care; and, one about Rosa, a horse, who tells her history to a girl who has befriended her.

I Say: Typical Alcott and delightful. Written in the 1800s and still very relevant for today.

These three long lost but enchanting Christmas stories: The Quiet Little Woman, Tilly's Christmas, and Rosa's Tale, were written for a home-produced magazine entitled "Little Things." They are a real treat for lovers of the Christmas season and stalwarts of L.M.A.
