I have been following the books and TV show "Castle" and recent popular murder mystery "Naked Heat" and I have heard that the books are really written by a ghost writer, NOT Richard Castle.

I am proposing we find out who the real writer is. A REAL who-done it, rather, who wrote it. Perhaps you know enlightened????

I think the writer is 1.) female  2.) has an insider's [erspective of detective work (such as a dispatcher, a nurse, a detective's wife) and comes from southeast New York (Bronx/Brooklyn/Queens) or Jersey or greater Philadelphia area.

What do you other readers think?

I am a new member and would like to see how this post works.   Thank you all, Gracie

Well, I looked and the latest is that ABC has no intention of giving up the name of the ghost writer.crying

My guess is James Patterson.  Only because he has been in a few of the episodes.

Several mystery writers have guested on Castle - Michael Connelly, the late Stephen J. Cannell, and I can't recall who else - Dennis Lehane. (checked IMDB...)

Here's an interesting article on this whodunnit.  I don't know anything about this writer but she sure makes an fascinating case.
